Etsy Gift Ideas for The Lumberjack

So I am taking a break from the regular Birthday Inspired Etsy finds to bring you Etsy gift ideas. Each will have a theme of course. This week's finds are for the Lumberjack in your life. At first I was just going to find things made of wood but then I decided to broaden things a bit.

"The stereotypical cliche of a lumberjack is a strong, burly, usually bearded man who lives to brave the natural environment. He is depicted wearing suspenders a long-sleeved plaid flannel shirt and heavy boots." -Thanks Wikipedia

Screen printed Juno!

This is my latest screen print! Juno's face on a red background! Its a 5 run silk screened print. It is about 4.5 by 6. I also ran some as cards that I will probably screen Happy Holidays on and send them as holiday cards since it hasn't snowed and we wont get a picture of Juno pulling a sled in the snow in time for us to send some out. I used the picture below to create the print. I fandangled it in photoshop. I am so thrilled with the out come!
I did a run on some hand made paper that I made in my fibers class but it is just the greys and black. I think I want to make her have some laser beam eyes and some sort of futuristic background.

Juno's New Crate

After some destructiveness on Juno's part, her mom and dad have purchased a new crate for her since she out grew her old one a long time ago. It is the same as her old one, just much larger. So large that we can fit in it! Juno didn't know what to think of us being in there. She's getting so big! I have a flickr set of pictures of her if you would like to see more!

Birthday Inspired Etsy Finds: Tilda Swinton

November 5th is the birth date of Tilda Swinton, an award winning British actress. My favorite character that she has played is that of the White Witch Jadis from the 2005 movie The Chronicle's of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. I have found some Etsy finds that I am sure the white witch would approve of, if she wasn't so busy freezing Narnia!

I am sorry that I haven't been doing these in quite some time. I have been busy with my last semester of college! I will be making an effort to continue this series more frequently!
