My new obsession: Raw Diamonds

Some time last year, we had a jewelry exhibition at my work that included some large pieces adorned with industrial diamonds. They have been stuck in my head ever since! I have found some beautiful pieces of jewelry on Etsy to show you what it is that I have fallen so hard for!

Manly Men Aprons!

Holiday Inspired Etsy Finds- Hedgehog Day

February 2nd is usually known as Groundhog Day in the US and Canada. We pull a Groundhog out of its home and force it to determine our weather for the next six weeks or so. The Sega Genisis game Sonic the Hedgehog 3 was released in the United States on February 2, 1994, dubbed "Hedgehog Day", a reference to Groundhog day (via wikipedia.) So I chose to celebrate the Hedgehog and all its glory!

One-yard-wonders!

My mom and I found this amazing book, One-yard-wonders. There are so many things in there I want to make!

I saw this one thing that I knew I wanted to make first, the "Better than a box pet bed" but it was sized for a small dog or a cat and as you might already know, Juno is NOT small! I ended up doubling the pattern which means it was technically a not a one-yard-wonder but it did turn out amazing! I ended up putting about 12 oz of fiber fill in it and its not as full as it could be but its good.

I really recommend this book if you are looking for a basic book to give you ideas for sewing all kinds of things! They have patterns for baby clothes, items for the home, super cute bags and a lot more!

I will try to update with a picture of Juno enjoying her new bed. She has checked it out, sniffed it and stood it in but I'm not sure she realizes that its all hers!
